ram 1 or 2

Specs: Windows XP, 256
This may sound like a stupid question, but does it matter which slot the bigger ram goes in,im waiting on a 512 and i have two 128's. so which 128 do replace or does it matter, thanks.

Depends on the motherboard. Since you didn't specify which one you have, can't say.

Trial and error.
If the ram fits into the socket, the worse thing that can happen is, that the computer did not recognize the ram and did not start up.

u need to specify ur boards name to see how many slots it has

Looks like she has a Dell Latitude C610 laptop which uses PC133 with a max of 512MB per slot. Personally, I would have have bought two 512MB sticks & maxed out the memory capacity. But since you only bought one, it shouldn't matter which slot you put it in.
