A lot of those PS/2 to USB adapters NEVER work right. Your best bet is to bite the bullet and get a USB mouse, KB, etc etc etc....

MOOOOooove! OH and you're welcome!

What do you mean by PS/2 to USB adapter ?

A simple gender adapter that you use to convert the connector on the end of a mouse or keyboard cord to another type of port will NOT work unless the mouse or keyboard is a "combo" device that is wired up to be used with both types of ports. The "combo" mouse or keyboard came with the proper gender adapter when it was new in that case. In almost all cases, that gender adapter will work fine with the mboard.

A simple gender adapter for a mouse, often colored green, usually will NOT work with a "combo" keyboard, and simple gender adapter for a keyboard, often colored purple, usually will NOT work with a "combo" mouse, because the necessary connections are not there in the gender adapter.

It it's a USB to PS/2 wiring adapter - it has a cord and additional circuitry between the two ends, and it often has two female PS/2 connectors, one usually colored green for a mouse, one usually colored purple for a keyboard - as PC Geek has said, they DO NOT work will all mboards.

Neither type requires additional drivers to be installed by the user.
