Sounds like the keyboard is OK but the internet has been blocked on that computer. Ask your dad about it.

Bad keyboard can cause system to beep. Borrow a working keyboard if u don't have spare one.

What browser are you using? Internet Explorer?

If so, go to Windows Control Panel> Internet Options. Click on the security tab in that screen. If Enable protected mode is checked then uncheck it and then select default level. Go through each of the tabs and reset the values. Content may be the on you need to change.
