Processor Fan

Specs: Windows XP
Im having problems with my Pentium 4 HT BuyMPC ClientPro 375.. Having D945GCZ board.. In the beginning it was ok, but after 2 or 3 weeks, my pc got slower and the processor fan started giving noise.. Means runs faster than normal.. Even wen i turn on my pc it gvs such noise.. Kindly please help me.. And is there sumthing applied bw the processor and the fan?? Becoz there was sumthing semi liquid type present bw processor and fan that i thoroughly cleaned.. Wateva i do, i dont get any result, my pc has becum slow and processor fan givs noise, plzz help me

That`s your mistake. The fans run faster since the CPU runs hot, and the system runs slow since the CPU is throttling since it runs hot too. So, buy some good CPU Thermal Paste and apply it!

If you don`t know how to apply it, someone else on the forum can give you the link with the instructions (I can`t find it right now.)

Yeah and make sure to remove dust on cpu fan. Cpu temp? Check in bios. Also use cpu-z to check if the cpu is running @ correct speed.
