Specs: Windows 7
Havinf problems downloading cds from my pc to my sd card, it's saving them on to my phone in files..the wrong format

If you're just copying them in Explorer, all your are doing is copying the shortcuts. You need a ripping program like CDex to rip and convert them to MP3's

I guess you mean you want to copy some files on a cd to an SD card but instead it's copying them to your phone. If that's what you mean it doesn't make sense. Just copy them to the correct drive. Or disconnect the phone from your PC so it won't go there.

Or do you mean it's the SD card in your phone that you want to copy to but the copying process is changing the format? If so, what is the format on the cd and what is the format it's changed to on the SD card?

To add to THX 1138's comments, if it's a regular audio cd those files are .WAV format. If you wanted to save them as the more compact .mp3 you'll need a converter program
