Hi people, am having big trouble with nVidia 8400gs TV out, I just cant get it through S-video, I want to hace composite video output only.

I want to use just a TV and not a vga monitor, I just want the videocard recognize TV as the primary output and keep the config, it seems 8400gs dont want to work without a vga monitor conected, and even when it is it refuses to mantain image in the second display (TV) at booting Windows 7 64bit I can see the desktop normally but after less than a minute the image gone and VGA monitor becomes primary display..

I tried different drivers, versions, hacks, and nothing, I wish I could have the old control panel of nVudia config but I cant make it work, it simply refuse toshow the old control panel maybe for me to make the instruction of s-video only output.

Help me please, I want to make a multimedia system in my home with a core2duo computer, windows 7-64, the 8400gs card and an old 29" crt tv.

Or.. os there a way to have back the opd control panel from nVidia?

Is there a pci-e videocard that exclusively works with composite video directly from pc boot? maybe an old model?

Thanks in advance!

See this about using s-video: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...

Here's a link to the driver they mention. It's from 2009 & for Vista 64-bit but it should work with Win7 64-bit. https://filehippo.com/download_nvid...

The easiest fix would be to dump the old CRT & pick up a cheap flat screen. You can get a 32" for about $100. Or see if you can find a used one from someone upgrading to a larger size.
