problems enabling sound

Specs: Windows 7
i just recently installed windows 7 on laptop i bought secondhand and cannot get my sound devices to work.

i tried following the windows 7 prompts and suggestions and it failed to update the drivers.

i'm on a notebook and from various online posts i think i might have to enable my sound devices through integrated peripherals options in bios?

i tried but cannot find any intergrated peripherals option in bios. could someone please guide me through it, or suggest any other possible solutions to my problem?

thanks for your time

K

U need to install audio driver and can be found from notebook manufacture website. Don't forget to install all necessary drivers.
