Solved Problem with screen resolution

Specs: Windows 7, 4 GB
Hi,

I am having an issue with my PC screen resolution & my AMD graphics card.

The problem started when few days back I switched on the pc & the display did not turn on & the monitor was not able to detect the signal. However the system was booting normally.

I restarted the PC & this time the monitor detected the signal & the display was working but the screen resolution changed completely. So I had to manually change it back to normal.

I also got an error message that the AMD driver is not functioning properly. So I uninstalled & reinstalled it & got the settings back but now the screen size has changed. It is smaller & does not fit the full monitor screen even after I have selected the recommended screen resolution size in Windows.

I know that some settings have to be changed in the AMD control panel to get the proper screen size back but don't know how to do it.

Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?

Thanks.

Make sure you have the latest AMD drivers. The latest Adrenalin 2019 drivers (v19.3.3) were released a few days ago: https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...

You didn't state what monitor you're using. Some have display settings of their own. This is especially true of HDTVs used as monitors. The settings need to be changed to enable full screen. The AMD drivers also have a setting for GPU scaling: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/f...

Hey the problem was with scaling. The settings had changed to Underscan. That's why the screen size appeared small, so I changed it to overscan 0% & that got the screen size back to normal.

Thanks.
