problem connecting printer to laptop

Specs: Windows 7
I have a Lexmar32 printer which I want to connect to a laptop do I need ti buy another plug. None of the USB ports on the laptop are the right size

USB ports on computer should be the same. Female type A.
The printer usually has a type B.

the connector on the Lexmark printer is too big for any of the ports on the laptop. It is the kind with the 2 screws on it.

That is a parellel port. You need a USB to parallel adapter.
Unfortunately not everyone is compatible. If the printer is a Z32
there should also be a USB port.
