Printer shut-off and won't power back on.

Specs: Windows Vista
I replaced the print head a few days ago in my Canon PIXMA MP830 printer and was working fine. I go to print today and received an error message (UO71) that "more than one ink tank of the folllowing color is installed". I reseat the the tank, which I had to do a few times and then the machine just shuts off, as if someone pulled the plug, and won't power back on. Has my machine "kicked the bucket"? That would suck since I just replaced the print head.

did the printer needed to have been shut off when re-seating the ink?

If all the power connections are in place, and it still won't turn back on then it is most likely dead

There's no need to shut power off. All that one needs is to open the cover to get access to the tanks. I've done it many times before. Wasn't a big fan of this printer although at the time of purchase, many gave it good reviews. I had it since Sep 2007. Will stick with HP AIO lasers.
