Crimi August 29, 2012 at 09:32:53 Specs: Windows 7
I had a circuit blow that my computer was on. Then my epson tm-u230 showed as unavailable. The printer was not on the circuit that blew. Everything on the computer works fine. I uninstalled then reinstalled the printer as well as updated the driver. The printer shows up as unavailable. It is on a usb port. I have changed cables, rebooted installed and uninstalled. I can't get it to work
go to device manager from "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System" and see if the device appears there and is enabled. testing the printer on another computer will allow you to see which is causing the problem
