Printer not working with Windows 7

Hewlett-packard Deskjet 3940 printer

Specs: Windows 7
HP Deskjet 3940 Printer is working fine with Windows XP, now I have bought new laptop with Windows7 (64 bit) and I am unable to configure and print any documents.
I have tried to install it using HP Support - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...
however, os is not even recoganizing the USB.
Any suggestions.

So then, the link you supplied above did not help you? There is a Vista 64 driver listed at the HP site. When clicking on that link the same information comes up you already have. However, there is a second, troubleshooting link too. Link below.

I assume you mean the USB connection of the printer.
