|Even if it was detected, it wouldn't work due the different hardware. The fact that it's not detected, is probably due to Dell coding the bios to prevent people doing what you are trying to do.|
You can't just swap drives in different models and expect them to work.
You may be able to get thay disk to be recognised if you wipe it clean, and start from scratch, are you willing to risk it.
Otherwise get a new drive and do you have the restore disks for reinstalation, if not you will need to purchase them from Dell.
