I am using an application that for entering data uses scanner. My co-workers sometime instead of scanning the barcode just type it using keyboard. That leads to mistake and eventually failure to enter correct data.
My goal is to force to enter the data only by scanning. One of the idea I have is to check the time it took for user to enter that data in the field because it will always be longer compare to scanning it.
Well ... it does not look to me as a smart solution :) I'm thinking if exist any other ways to check that data was entered using not keyboard but scanner and prevent from doing it? I know that scanning is kind of emulating keyboard stroke but ... maybe you have a better idea?
P.S. Maybe there is some registry key that could control it?

There may be an option in the application itself to disable keyboard entry so check there first.

Otherwise, you may be able to disable the keyboard in device manager or simply remove it but either of those solutions would disable the keyboard for every usage.
