By running a desktop computer with a 350 watt power supply does that mean that the computer is actually comsuming 350 watts 24/7 ? or is the consumption dependent on what the computer needs UP TO 350 watts? I have a weather station that uploads weather data to a desktop. That is the ONLY thing the computer is used for. I am considering using a CF card to IDE device to run everything on a CF card instead of using a hard drive. I use comm 1 and a wireless PCI card. My goal is to reduce power consumption to bare minimum as Wife thinks it's like I am burning 3 100 Watt light bulbs 24/7. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks WB
