Power cable issues

May 11, 2010 at 11:34:56
Specs: Windows XP
I have some wierd problems with my power cable. Some times it works in one socket but not another. Other cables sometimes work, or don't. If it doesn't operate when connected to one socket, you can bet it will work in another one. This happens at home and in the office. Any ideas? I am sure its not the cable or the sockets.

Is this a laptop? If so your Capacitors in your Power Pack are going bad. Get a new power pack and problem solved.

Thanks for that. It is a laptop and I take it from your reply that the power pack is in this and not as part of the power pack for the cable?

There is only one power pack for a laptop. If you want to call the hole thing a power cable then fine, the power cable needs to be replaced.
