When an external hard drive stops working or being recognized, it can be two major possibilities.
First is that the hard drive itself is bad. In this case, it is unlikely you will get anything off the drive without going to a data recovery company and paying a lot of money for the service. In this case, Google chilling the hard drive which may work if the drive's bearings are gone (if you are sure that his is the case).
Second, is that the external case is bad. In this case, you can remove the hard drive from the case in install it as a second internal hard drive on a desktop and see if the drive is recognized this way. Understand that this may void any warranty you may have from WD on the external drive unless you get permission from their tech support to attempt this. If the data is more important than the drive itself, this may still be an option for you.
If the data is more important, do not return the drive under warranty until you have exhausted all reasonable possibilities of recovery within your price range.
For the future: ALWAYS make sure that all important files are on at least two drives at any time since drives do fail. Really critical files should be on at least three drives in at least two locations (not under the same roof).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for the information
Based on that I do not have any option than to get it done from the recovery professional. Just for my information can you please give me an idea of how they could be doing the recovery?
Is it by the hardware changes or some recovery software that they use in such a case.
