Specs: Windows 7
hi,
Yesterday I purchased a portable hard drive, hoping that if I plug it into the USB port on my Panasonic blue ray player I would be able to watch MP4 files through my tv. I formatted the hard drive the FAT32. Once inserted the lights come on the hard drive, but only MP3 files load. I wasn't sure if the USB port on my blue ray player was only specificity designed for MP3 files, so I then tried to convert the files, but they still would't work. I also have another issue. I wasn't 100% sure if potable hard drives were able to work through tv's. But I plug it into the USB port on my teach flat screen tv, no lights were on the hard drive and I couldn't find the setting on my tv that the hard drive would work from, there isn't even a USB button on my remote, what setting is it under? help me please!

The USB port on your TV can't provide enough power to spin platter(s), only thumb drive(s) will function.
Are u sure your blue ray drive reads .mp4 files?

I wasn't sure if it supported mp4 files, but I did some research and it only supports Mp3 files. I'm just not having any luck.
