PNY thumb drive is not being recognized

March 17, 2011 at 06:56:16
Specs: Windows Vista SP 2, Intel Pentium Dual T2330
My PNY 8GB thumb drive is not being recognized by my computer. The chimes announcing a USB drive being connected and disconnected continually repeat, after a pause of a few seconds. My old Sandisk thumb drive works fine. I can put the PNY in my blu-ray player and it recognizes the folder structure and will show pictures. What's going on?

Update: I just plugged the PNY in my computer, and it was installed as an unknown device, with no drivers, and of course it is not showing up in Explorer. Device Manager, which was not showing it before, is now showing the unknown device. No errors in Device Manager at all.
