Right click the mouse on a blank part of your screen. Choose 'properties' from the box that opens. Then in the display properties box click 'settings'. Then adjust 'screen resolution' to 1024 x 768. Then click 'apply' and OK.

Very kind, with your very simple and direct answer. I did try, but after clicking on Properties, a box came out, mentioning my request of reset display to 1024x768. There was no " settings", so the only option, was to click on Accept, so I did that. I shall know later one if the change has been done. If I still have the problem, I shall be back. Thank you again Jorge

You may need to install the drivers for the video card. If they're not installed you may not be able to change the resolution. Check 'display adapters' in device manager. What does it say there?
