Solved Play audio on sleep/hibernate/OFF?

June 4, 2018 at 20:48:08
Specs: Windows 10
I have a Line In connection where I could play music from my mobile device on my computer using Line In to Line Out, but this only works when the computer is on. Is there any way I could do this when the computer is on sleep or hibernate, better yet, when the computer is shut down?

I used to have a whole other sound system to play my mobile device when I kept my computer off, but I don't wanna have to use 2 sound systems. I don't wanna have to buy anything else, I could easily do that, but I just wanna know if its possible to play audio through my computer speakers on the lowest power state possible.

Thanks in Advance!

✔ Best Answer
Definitely not possible when the computer is turned off.

Additionally, the computer would automatically come out of hibernation, or wake from sleep mode, as soon as you move the mouse to open the media player or a click on a file in your phone storage in Windows Explorer.

What you need is a sound system that doesn't involve using a computer.

Thanks for your reply! I really thought that there might be a way that Line In and Line Out could work together passively like passing audio through headphones, but through the audio interface.

Anyways, thanks again.
