Specs: windows vista home premium 32bits, 4 GB
hi, i'm now using my HP pavilion a6000n computer on a 250GB WD harddrive.
i'm planning on adding a new 1TB Sata hard drive, from Western Digital, and just install it beside my old one.
now, will there be any problems if i just install it like that?

ooh, by the way, my specs are on the following HP website:

What will it be used for...storage? Do you plan on partitioning it or are you just gonna have one huge 1TB partition?

As long as you have a bay to install to, a SATA port to connect to, and power connectors to power it you should be good to go.

I recommend you use Western Digital Data Lifeguard tools to partition and format the drive. Some users have been having trouble when using Windows to do that job.

You can download the program from the Western Digital site.

You may also need mounting screws, SATA data cable and possibly a molex to SATA power adapter. Below is a link to an excellent site. I have filtered to your specs.
