Solved Pixma MX700 print head

Specs: Windows 10
Pixma MX700. It says print head is not installed, then it is not the right print head. It is the only print head I have ever had; came with printer some years ago. I have cleaned and reinstalled print head several times, without result.

you can try to do the hard reset he described:

Turn the printer OFF, when it is on, by suddenly and sharply unplugging it from the power source.
Also unplug it from the computer!
Leave it that way for 10 minutes. (And restart the computer while you are waiting.)
Plug it back in.
Turn it on if it didn't turn itself on. Wait for it to initialize.
Try printing again.

if that doesnt work then it will be most likely hardware failure, giving you 2 options:

and use the form there to request an estimate from Canon.

[2] get a replacement :/
