I just love these cryptic questions where we are supposed to guess what the hell you are talking about.

Ok I'll take a stab at it. Do oyu mean you pulled out the PS2 plug of your keyboard and the pins were left in the socket? Yeah, get a USB keyboard and try that.

I am still laughing....I know it's not funny on your end .

But "pins are stuck in the back of my computer"
Is this the first "Voodoo" computer?

Hit a few garage sales and pick one up for under $3.00 or ask a friend.

I'm guessing you twisted the plug instead of just pulling it out?

computer

BEFORE you attempt to connect another PS/2 keyboard you need to inspect the port. In addition to the 6 metal pins there is also a plastic pin like part in the middle of the 6 pins.

Additionally. there are three indents on the plug that could have damaged the green plastic that surrounds the holes where the pins go in.

". . . round and green"? Isn't the green one usually for the mouse?

DAVE

You are right. Didn't even dawn on me. Some rigs will configure the mouse or keyboard using either port in Windows. Don't think it works like that in the BIOS.
