pen drive showing is not formatted

Specs: Windows XP
sir ...
we are using pen drive 2 gb of san disk made...from last 2 years......but yesterday we
had a problem showing..........when we are trying to open the pen drive it is showing......drive is not formatted......do u want to format Y/N......

in these regards we have purchased data recovery software online......but there is no solution.............
kindly guide us......it is an important ...data..

Not an easy solution. Pen drives fail a lot.

If recovery software doesn't work try another application. See if runtime.org might get it back or testdisk or photorec.

There's probably nothing wrong with the pen drive (flash drive, generically) itself - usually you either have it plugged into a USB port it cannot work properly with, or you have corrupted it's data.

i have same problem with my 4 gb pen drive so i formatted my pen drive while installing windows xp and forgot to make new drive of that memory and till now my pen drive shows that problem if you have solution plz contact me on gajjar.chinmay@yahoo.com
