Solved pc wont boot up after new graphics card installed

Specs: Windows 8.1
my motherboard is a gigabyte h61m-ds2 dvi which has a pcie 2.0 slot the card i installed is a asus directcu ii oc geforce gtx 660
i also installed a corsair cx600m psu pc runs fine from integrated graphics but soon as i put the gtx 660 in it wont boot up all fans and lights come on the screen doesnt come on at all and i can tell by the sounds it makes that its not booting up at all just sounds like its on a loop trying to boot up

Did you connect the 6-pin PCIe plug to the card?

Yes I did and thanks for the reply I got it working the fix was to update my bios
