PC can't detect sound card

Specs: Windows XP
it never happens before last night when i record some voice then my cool edit (software to edit voice)stopped. then i restart it, but its same... stopped and error... it makes me got bad headache, so then i re-plug the sound card but, its not solve and increase my problem, the sound card asks to install driver, ok i can got it, but while i install it the driver said that it can't detect the sound card,,, hey what's going on?? please tell me what should i do?? it's my job training...

put the sound card on another PC and see if it detects it.

ok, i found another problem here, i'm not trying to put the sound card to another PC yet, because suddenly the sound on PC come out but its just a second then stopped and never move on so restart it, its happened every i try to play a voice... so what should i do on this situation?? someone please...

I guess English isn't your 1st language, huh?

Any chance of listing your system specs? Is the soundcard an actual "card" or is it "onboard audio" built into the motherboard? And where are you getting the sound driver from?
