OtheHill, you da man! I had the problem of plugging in the headphone and nothing but silence. After reading your post of looking for the orange speaker icon and clicking on it and following your simple step of physically selecting it b pressing "ok" on the bottom, it totally worked. The only weird thing is that I have to do that every time I plug in the headphones. That probably shouldn't be, but at least it works, so I'm satisfied... Thanks bud!

Have you tried using another set of headphones and see the response?

Glad it kind of solved your problem.

Are you using a laptop?

Are the headphones wireless?

Do you have the latest drivers for your sound chip? You MUST get those from the computer or motherboard maker in order to use all the available sound features.

Explain exactly what you have and how you are connecting the headphones.
