Hi,

I have an old Toshiba Satellite 5200-A751, Win XP installed.
It has been working ok until recently it freezes after few minutes of use. Initially i thought it was registry/OS issue so I ran a registry fix program with no result. So I tried to reinstall the OS.
However it still freezes after a few minutes of running the Win XP setup. Now i'm thinking this could be a hardware issue.
CPU fan is running ok.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Pat

CPU temp - overheating ?

Hard drive - run the diagnostics software available from the drive manufacturer

CPU Temp - if fan is running, why is it overheating? I've had a look at it and its not too dusty.. could it be Iow RPM? how can I tell and is there anyway I could fix it?

Hard drive - looks like its fine.. I've taken out the hard drive and use it as an external hard drive and it works ok, stable

VGA - could it be the VGA?

Thanks,

Pat
