old driver removal software recommendation

Specs: Vista HP, 1.7/1gig
I need a reliable tool for removing all traces of old
drivers. The ones I've tried so far seem to limit
themselves to major drivers like ATI, Creative etc.
I'm having issues with an old Zyxel ADSL modem
driver that I want to remove completely. Any
suggestions for software please?

First, I would be surprised if a ADSL modem had a driver, generally these connect through an Ethernet cable and are therefore driver less. I suppose it's possible you have a modem wit ha USB connection, in which case it probably acts like a USB - Ethernet adapter.

Anyhow, if connect the device and then look in Device Manager (search google if you don't know how to get there) you should see the device listed somewhere. Again, if it connects via USB, it's probably under "network adapters". You can then double click on the device and in the window that opens find out all kinds of things about the device, including "driver details" which will show you you the path to all the files associated with the device. You can then remove/uninstall the device using device manager, and then manually delete all those files that were listed.

Thanks for reply - USB modems need drivers, & that's what's
hanging around...

Unfortunately haven't got the modem any longer, and we're
having issues with connectivity - there's another post
concerning that, but as part of the troubleshooting I want to
get rid of as much network connected rubbish as possible.
the only reason I know the driver remains are still there is that
I've done a backup of all drivers using Driver Magician and this
one sticks out like a sore thumb.

Thanks for reply - I tried Driver Sweeper and it was one of those
that only looks for graphics & sound drivers, even their website
shows a screenshot with only 7 basic categories.
