Specs: Windows 7 32 bit
Bought a Intel E5400 Dual Core Cpu 2.7GZ. I've done all the required steps when changing the CPU. When pushing the power button, no post screen but there is power coz Cpu fan goes on.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanx grasshopper, I saw its not on that list...

I totaly suck at computer hardware.
What I really dont understand is that my current processor, Intel Celeron D 420 @ 1.6ghz, is not listed aswell!

Does the 45nm compared to the 65nm make a big difference?

Thanx.

VIA chipsets for Intel suck, and support is not always a sure thing with VIA.

That motherboard supports cpu's which are 65nm and which are 45nm. It may be that the bios support is not the issue. When you removed the old cpu, did you remove the old thermal paste completely and reapply new thermal paste ?

The Cpu fan supplied with the processor had a bit of thermal paste on it. So i used the fan supplied with the Cpu.
I bought the paste aswell, did not use it, coz the paste was on the fan.

I assume you mean that the heatsink had thermal paste on it. Did you remove the old thermal paste completely ?

The CPU list isn't necessarily current. Did you upgrade to the latest BIOS?
