need help setting up a new motherboard P/N 462797-001. No video output, can't see bios info and no beeps on powerup

Is anything happening. Any lights, fans spinning. Sounds of hard disk and CD/DVD drives spinning up.

yes everything is getting power, fans on, lights on, hard disk and CD/DVD drives spinning. the only thing that starts then stops after 30 seconds after initial start up is the case fan

Take the board out of the case & bench test it. You should have done that from the start.

Dis you install the heat sink correctly with the tight amount of thermal compound between heat sink and CPU. If it is not done correctly the CPU will over heat very quickly and cut itself off which appear to be what is happening.
