Solved No power to USB ports on HP Pavilion Elite desktop

September 5, 2012 at 18:29:06
Specs: Windows 7
my pc usb ports are not receiving power on my HP Pavilion Elite desktop PC. I have solved this problem in the past by removing the power cable from the motherboard and then re-plugging power back in, this time it is not working and none of my USB ports are providing power to my peripherals.

thank you, I bought the hub and i'm still not getting anything, my peripherals are all gaming oriented (sidewinder mouse/keyboard) perhaps the cumulative draw is too much?

ended up figuring it out, i swapped the 300W power supply that was inside the pc for a larger 520W and all is working fine now
