Solved No parallel or rs-232m port on new hp slim line computer

Specs: Windows 7
Is there a parallel - rs232 card for HP slim line desk top (model s5-1234). I know of a lot of such pci cards but I don't think they will fit in my new system.
Can anyone help?

Parallel ports have been gradually phased out over the years as no new printers are produced using them so computers tend to be losing them as a result. The simplest and cheapest option is a USB/Parallel adapter cable - they start at under $5/£5 for a basic USB to parallel printer cable, from lots of places, Amazon for example.

According to HP's Upgrading and Servicing guide (page 20):

you can add cards to your machine. If it's just a single parallel-port you need, I'd suggest a PCI express card (since, from the drawings in the manual, that appears to be what the machine can support 3 of). Such as:
