No operating service, device or driver

Specs: Windows XP
My Asus EeePC Netbook 1005HAB (Win XP Home Ed.) starts up with "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".
I can get to Bios Setup but how can I reformat the Hard drive. When my computer first loads, it says to hit F2 to run setup, and to hit TAB for the BIOS, when I hit the TAB button, the BIOS comes up but will not stay up. It goes to the screen that says "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". What do I have to do it order to get the BIOs screen to stay up? Its flashed right before my eyes can even think to blink...

Why would you want to reformat? It sounds like your hard drive has died. Check the BIOS to see if it's recognized or not. The boot screen you're seeing is NOT the BIOS. You need to press the appropriate key at bootup.
