No keyboard/ mouse response.

Specs: Windows
I was attempting to refresh my desktop by erasing all information and starting brand new. The os failed and the self fix could not find the issue. I had version of windows 8.1 on a flash and attempted to install. Everything was fine until it reach the set screen in the install. I could not move the mouse or use the keyboard. How do i make changes in an attempt to fix if I have no active OS on the hardware. I reset all Bios functions to default, what else can I do????????

Does the installer always freeze at the same info page?
Is this a laptop or desktop? Any specs? Brand/model?
Are there any diagnostic tests in the BIOS for memory and other hardware?

The reason why windows failed in the first place can be the cause of your current problems.

Hi,

do the mouse and/or keyboard work at any stage of the installation, prior to them failing?

If not, are they connected using the PS1 ports or what?

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
