No display on Dell CRT monitor

May 6, 2010 at 18:56:33
Specs: Windows Vista
OK....I've gone from website to website looking for a solution..I'm desperate so I'm going to ask.
My graphics card has recently stopped working...Had the computer for a year...nothing happened to it at all except I accidentally messed up the power button by pressing it too hard...took off the face plate fixed it...plugged everything back in....turn computer on...boom . Nothing on monitor. I usually plug it into my motherboard slot but out of mistake I plugged it into my video card slot. I had a CRT DELL monitor so I don't think it could have blown the monitor nor the video card(tested the monitor on other PC, worked fine, I've also re-seated the RAM several times, about ready to pull my hair out...).....the voltage setting on the back is lowest...I'm currently functioning without a video card.. any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Without system specs it's hard to help.
Your system works fine without v-card, what happens when u connect it? System won't start? System start but no display? Or monitor display no singnal? Have u try to test the v-card in another system?
