Yes, you need to install the drivers for the keyboard. You should have gotten a disk with it. Did you?

No - there was not a disk in the box and I have had a look on-line at Argos and it does not state there is a disk included either - do you think I should contact Argos? Thanks for your help so far - my old keyboard has stopped showing half the letters when pressed, hence buying a new one and could not afford a better model.

Hi there - have had a look again at the Argos site and no mention of a disk and this deskset has good reviews - "just plug in and away" they say! hmmm... what can I be doing wrong then?

The only thing I can say is try a different usb port. Use the ones on the back of the computer. Also check in device manager to see if you're using usb2.0 as opposed to 1.0

Could be plug and play for Vista/Windows7 but not for WinXP.

Thanks for that - will check it in a moment

Argos came back to me and said that it is for Windows 2000 and forward and she said Windows 2000 came out after Windows XP - did not believe her, so googled it and was laughed at!

Hi there - thanks for that but Argos came back to me and said it was suitable for Windows 2000 and forward but she was under the impression that Windows XP was before Windows 2000 - I did not believe her and googled it and was laughed at, basically!

Look in Device Manager to see if the hardware is listed there and how it is configured.

Wireless KB/mouse combos usually have a sync button on both the KB and the mouse cradle, if provided. The cradle needs to be close to both the KB & mouse.

Hi there! many, many thanks for trying to help me out - what you suggested "worked a treat!" - keyboard works fine but not the mouse so there may be a problem there but it does say, in the little manual that comes with it, that I may need to build up a charge between the mouse and the usb receiver that comes with the package, so will try that at a later stage. x

Many, many thanks for your assistance on this occasion and, hopefully, I will not need to visit this too often! lol!

Excellent site tho'
