new tv has pc input on source selection, bought vga/svga cable,commected to tv and pc, changed source to pc but no pic, if i disconnect cabe from pc, tv screen says no signal! can anyone help? craig

If it is a laptop, there is a function or number key (forget which) that when combined with the [fn] key will select one of three outputs: Internal display, both, External display. hope this helped!

Some TV's have to sync to the output of the computer. Not all do. Be sure the tv can sync to pc as well as monitor. They are different signals.

Might have to turn off tv and power it on after computer is running or look for remote control settings that may be able to re-sync or adjust.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Some of the newer laptops can read the tv set for proper settings but you must do it in monitor settings.
