Are they both on the primary SATA controller on the chipset? You can get that reaction if you have one of the bootable drives on an off-chipset SATA controller (ex: Z77 chipset has two SATA III 6GB/s ports, if your MB has four, the second two may be on a Marvel or other SATA controller). Try switching them to the first two SATA ports (SATA3-0 & SATA3-1).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Dual boot both Windows 7? (you show XP above in specs)
Where are you looking? Computer, Disk Manager, etc? What does your BIOS say? What does Disk Manager say?
How are you dual booting? Windows boot manager or BIOS select?
If BIOS select, did you have only a single drive at a time during install?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
