New ink cartridges installed. Not printing all colors.

Specs: Macintosh
I have installed new, genuine HP ink cartridges in my HP Photosmart C8180 but I'm not getting good colored pics. Missing reds/oranges/pinks. I've cleaned the print heads twice and tapped on each cartridge. What could be wrong?

Did the last ones work correctly or failed exactly like this?

Where did you buy the cartridges from?

Did you try to remove and replace them?

Are you sure they are in correct order?

Might you have damaged a connector or moved something in the process of replacement?

Try new or even the old ones. May have to attempt the worst case and try to spray some window cleaner on the ends of the cartridges. Wipe off excess with lint free cloth and replace in printer.

Sometimes ink gets on the electrical contacts that the cartridges need to make contact with, remove the cartridges and clean mating surfaces with Q-Tips with a bit of rubbing alcohol on them. Allow it to air dry and reassemble. Then clean it again. I have had printers that will at times require 4 or more cleanings to recover from badly clogged heads. Also look into print heads, some HP printers need the print heads changed every few years, I have one now that I had to replace the print heads on twice already.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
