New first, time build--does not boo

Specs: Windows XP
Hi all,

This is my first attempt at building a computer. When I start the thing up, the PSU fan comes on for a second, then stops (I can't tell if the CPU fan does).

Here's what I'm trying to get to work, at the moment:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz Socket 775 CPU
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular Power Supply
Masscool 8WA741 CPU FAN w/Heat Pipes 775
PNY nForce 630i GeForce 7150 Socket 775 Motherboard
Kingston 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (2x2048)
Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-3G

I've tried swapping out the PSU and booting w/o RAM/Harddrive. This doesn't seem to help.

I replaced the PSU w/ a generic, cheap PSU that came with the case. It still did the same whirrrrrr....beeep...SHUTDOWN

I'm noticing now that the 24pin connector doesn't seem to seat itself properly in the mobo...could this be the problem? The lowest pin doesn't click in on all the way...

On a side note, it lasts a few seconds longer if I hold the restart button down...

"I'm noticing now that the 24pin connector doesn't seem to seat itself properly in the mobo." Is that with both psu's ?
Also, what video card are you using ? The OCZ psu has 25 amps on two separate +12 volt rails.

Well, I've been using the integrated video card...which is: GeForce 7150. I was planning to install the XFX 9800 GTX+, but have not done so, yet.
