new Canon mg5420 will not print from coupon websites

Specs: Macintosh OSX 10.8.5
New Canon PIXMA mg5420 will not print from printable coupon websites. I did not have this problem with my old HP printer. This printer has 2 paper trays, the lower holds letter & legal & the upper 4x6 photo paper. When trying to print coupons I get an error message "support code 1007"
there is no paper in the cassette (upper). I have used Safari, Firefox & Chrome but the browser makes no difference. I have uninstalled & reinstalled the printer driver from "coupons.com" website. Finally, I cut paper to fit the upper tray, selected 1 coupon & hit print. It printed a miniature coupon which will not be accepted by the store. I am running OSX 10.8.5. Appreciate any help you may offer.

Two of the coupon sites I tried are www.smartsource.com and www.coupons.com

At the smartsource site I see the following message. Did you click on it?

How it works: Select the coupons you want; click “Print Now” when you’re done!(Our Coupon Printer must be activated.)

Yes, I have done all that. These sites worked with my old HP printer but not with the new Canon. I just got off the phone with Canon support & was told the problem is with the website. Because this printer has 2 trays, lower for letter & legal paper & upper for up to 5x7 photo paper, the information sent to the printer from the websites is telling it to print from the upper tray. Canon has no solution for the problem. I have sent an e-mail to the website with the information given to me by Canon. Thank you for your help.
