new built computer cannot read install cd

Specs: none yet
Why can't my newly built computer read the Driver and Utilities Install cd? The DVD drive and hard drive show up in BIOS. We have tried installing different drives, we tried the cd in another computer. We've reset the CMOS, changed cables, etc. Set to boot from DVD. It goes there, spins up, light flashes, then I get the message "Reboot and select proper Boot Device or insert Boot media in selected Boot device and press a key". It is a EVGA P55/H55 motherboard.

What type of disk are your using as the installation disk? Sounds like it is passing over it. You need to hit any key when prompted on the screen. If the disk isn't bootable then you may not see that prompt.

Using a restore disk from another computer won't work.

It's the cd that shipped with the EVGA P55/H55 Motherboard. The cd that installs the chipset drivers, audio drivers, LAN drivers, user manual. etc. Basically - EVERYTHING I NEED.

That disk is not a bootable disk. You should run it from within Windows after Windows is fully installed.
