Specs: Windows XP
I belive my 7600gt bit the dust because the fan died.
I need any help you can give in choosing a new replacment AGP8x vid card. I am on a budget so building a new system with current technology is not an option for me.

System stats:
Asus 4S800D-x motherboard
Intel P4 2.8 processor
2 GB RAM

Ty all for the input.
When i got my current 7600gt i had many problems with the drivers and getting it set up, I'm not real tech savey but I struggled through it.
That being said I have a couple more questions. If I purchased another 7600gt from a different manufacturer would it work with the drivers already installed for my current 7600gt.
Is the performance of the x1950 significantly better then that of the 7600gt therfor making the hassle of new drivers worth it?
Also, I should mention that I mainly rely upon my video card for playing World of Warcraft and streaming netflix movies

Ty all for your advice so far, and thanks in advance for any further help.

The 7800GS isn't much faster than the old x850xt.

Go for the x1950 Pro jam suggested. I have one (an HIS 512MB model) running in a P3 box. It's an excellent card for AGP systems.

Sorry, missed your recent post.

Yes. BUT:

The x1950 is much faster than the 7600GT. Installing new drivers isn't difficult. Just make sure you uninstall the NV driver before installing the ATI driver.
