Try this, remove the battery, unplug the power lead, hold down the on button for about 30 seconds. Place the battery back in and try again.

When you see the VIAO screen tap the f8 key a few times and see if you are able to boot into safe mode.

When did this start happening? was the machine working previously? or have you just recently installed something, perhaps Windows 10?

Everyone has their own opinion but i Love Windows 10.

Still nothing .... On bottom left of that screen it is showing now "
entering setup" .
I even tried f8 but nothing happening , just that black screen with vaio written .
It feels like its jammed on that particular screen and not booting further.
After i upgraded to windows 10 my laptop started to hang alot and i had to power it off directly and from yesterday its not starting.

I did what u told m but nothing done

"Entering Setup" as in CMOS setup? I would check to see if your RAM is seated well, possibly try booting with less RAM installed if you can. A defective module could cause you to halt on boot like that. Also, since it doesn't sound like you were trying to enter CMOS intentionally you may have a stuck key. Have you been having keyboard problems? What does it mean exactly "hang allot"? Was windows 10 working fine for awhile after the upgrade? Were there any problems during the upgrade? Internet, power loss, or some other interruption your computer experienced?

What is the model number of this E-Series Laptop?

Have you checked the Sony website to see if it's supported.

It's not a RAM problem & most likely not a Windows problem. Sounds more like a hard drive problem. "Entering setup" means the BIOS menu...does it go into it or not?

Try to clean your laptop or change the CMOS by new one
