A computer can't be "remote accessed" unless it's booted into Windows & connected to the internet. Why are you trying to do a restore & why would you waste your money on a Vista disc? The files necessary to reinstall Vista are already on the HDD or the image file needed to create a disc can be downloaded legally for free. Could it be that your laptop is shutting down because it's overheating? When's the last time you blew the dust out of the cooling vents?

Is it connected to the charger when the restore is attempted?

Does it still boot without trying to restore it?
It looks like an "old" laptop. Take out the battery and run it on charger only.
