My Sound Card Isn't Detected

Hey, I'm in a bit of a predicament right now. My computer won't detect my sound card and my speakers. I just recently put in a GeForce GT 520 Graphics Card and am wondering if it has anything to do with that. In Device Manager under Sound, Video, & Game Controllers it won't show my Speakers, and in Dxdiag it says it can't detect a sound card. I also can't seem to find any drivers for my sound card, and I have a Lenovo IdeaCentre K230. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I never saw speakers in the device manager.

Try that driver.

Is it this Walmart special?

You don't have a soundcard, you have onboard sound. And drivers can be found at the Lenovo site. It appears your have the ADI Soundmax integrated audio. Here's the drivers page:

Hopefully you didn't buy the GT 520 for gaming:

I only bought the GT 520 because it was cheaper than others and it works for me. Didn't need anything to fancy. Oh and by the way for some reason when I download the Audio Driver it says the audio driver files do not support my computer hardware.

I was just wondering if you had managed to resolve this problem? I am having exactly the same issue whereby the recent installation of the GT520 seems to have broken my soundmax drivers. I already had them on my machine however, but when rerunning them they confirm that the hardware is no longer supported ?

Any ideas would be great.
