My sistem disc C: / died!!!

Specs: Windows 7, 8 GB
Now I need real help! I want to plugin new HDD 3TB on machine. I use standars SATA cable. After I plugin device BIOS and OS WIN 7 can't see the same. Ok, I was unpluged the device and realised that HDD is not Ok. I started Pc in my standard configuration but after pushing star buton message show up "Canot find boot device, please select but device than restart machine..."
My C: HDD (160 GB) died too!!! I was looking in BIOS and same thing happen like with new HDD (3TB). BIOS AND OS CANT SEE. Please HELP!! Is there a way to recover sistem or files?

If the BIOS isn't seeing your drives, you don't have them hooked up correctly.

Please explain more carefully and in chronological order and include system specs

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

After all this I tried to connect my C: 160 GB on another comp but same thing is showing up. It was not recognized by OS. HDD Invisible in BIOS and OS WIN 7.

Ok, here is chronological

1. Shut Down PC
2. Attached NEW WD HDD 3TB
3. Start PC
4. WD HDD 3TB not showing up on system tree or system manager
5. Restart PC - pressing DEL. on keyboard and looking WD HDD 3TB in BIOS
6. WD HDD 3TB not dectected by BIOS
7. Shut Down PC
8. Unplugged HDD WD 3TB
9. Start PC
10. Message show up "Canot find boot device, please select but device than restart computer..."
11. I unpluged my system disc WD 160GB and attached to another PC. and same thing happend like WD 3TB. Not recognized by BIOS and OS.
11. Question: Is my system disc died, is there a way to recover files, or a system?
