|My computer is shutting off randomly. It is a complete, no warning shut down. No BSOD, no visual clues at all. The computer then will power itself on after a short time. It will shut down in low performance situations and I've had the computer on for well over an hour now, but it shut off after 5 mins the time before. It's fine in the BIOS but once it boots up and enters windows, its very unprodictable, I've had it do this 10 min into windows 7 and other times can stay on for 2 hours, It does sometimes do this in the boot BIOS but its not as common as the windows times, ive taken everything out of the rig and reasembled it all back in the case peice by piece and I should also tell you that the board is an MSI h81m-e33 housing an i3 4160 3.6ghz LGA1150 processor and cooled by a coolmaster hyper 212 evo with the thermal paiste that came with it (I do have some Arctic silver paiste lying around but not sure were), its being powered by an alpine 750W PSU using a 24pin and both 4 pin and 6 pin power connectors the case fan is running a 12v molex Fan and the graphics card is an AMD HD 7770 its been opened before and dusted but other than that it hasn't been dropped (not from a hight that would damage it anyway), it has 2 4bg Kingston ram i did try my ssd 60gb in the rig as that was running fine on the old system and i heard that they've caused problems. But I do have a molex powered led strip running that has a standered 2 pin connector (from China but not cheaply made). I'm not exactly good with power problems dispute the irony of being the son of a electrical engineer and this is very frustrating because I recently gave my old PC parts away, and they worked fine but there was a few USB problems that I was paranoid about. |
Please help me as I don't have allot of money too just buy a whole new PC, and my career involves the very computer that's having problems.
